1. Overview
Welcome to Thousand Years.
These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, store, products, content, and related services, collectively referred to as the “Services.”
The Services are operated by Thousand Years Inc. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Thousand Years Inc.
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
By accessing or using the Services, including placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility and Account Information
You must be legally permitted to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
When placing an order or creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, including your contact, billing, payment, and shipping information.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.
3. Our Products
We make reasonable efforts to accurately describe and present our products, including ingredients, sizes, packaging, photographs, and other product information.
Because our ghee is made in small batches using natural ingredients, subtle variations in color, aroma, or texture may occur from batch to batch. These natural variations do not change our standards for quality, safety, or care.
Product appearance may also vary slightly from photographs due to lighting, photography, displays, and device settings.
Please review product labels, ingredient information, allergen information, storage instructions, and other information provided with the product before consumption.
Content provided through our website, recipes, articles, or social channels is for general informational and culinary purposes and is not medical advice.
We may update, modify, discontinue, or limit quantities of products from time to time.
4. Orders and Preorders
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase.
We reserve the right to accept, decline, limit, or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including because of product availability, suspected fraud, payment issues, pricing errors, or circumstances affecting our ability to fulfill the order.
Please review your order carefully before submitting it.
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact orders@thethousandyears.com as soon as possible. Once an order has entered fulfillment or shipped, changes or cancellation may no longer be possible.
Preorders
Certain products may be offered for preorder before the applicable production batch is ready to ship.
The estimated fulfillment or shipping window displayed when you place your preorder reflects our good faith expectation at that time.
Because our products are made in small batches, production timing may occasionally change. If we are unable to ship within the timeframe originally communicated, we will provide an updated estimate and, where applicable, the option to continue with the order or cancel the unshipped order for a full refund.
Preorders are also subject to our Returns, Refunds & Our Promise policy and Shipping & Delivery Policy.
5. Pricing and Payment
Prices, promotions, discounts, and product availability may change without notice.
The applicable price is generally the price displayed when your order is placed, subject to correction of genuine pricing or listing errors.
Unless otherwise stated, product prices do not include applicable taxes, shipping charges, delivery fees, or other charges calculated at checkout.
Prices available online may differ from prices offered at farmers markets, events, retail locations, wholesale channels, or through third parties.
By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and authorize the applicable charges.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping methods, rates, and availability are displayed at checkout based on your order and delivery address.
Delivery and carrier transit times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. Weather, holidays, carrier disruptions, and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery timing.
For preorder products, carrier transit times begin only after the applicable production batch is ready and the order has been dispatched.
Selecting Express Shipping does not accelerate production or move a preorder ahead of its production batch. Express service applies after the order is ready for shipment.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Product Concerns
Our return and refund practices are described in our Returns, Refunds & Our Promise policy.
Because our products are food items, we generally do not accept physical returns once an order has been delivered.
If an order arrives damaged, leaking, incorrect, or you have a concern regarding the quality or safety of the product, please contact orders@thethousandyears.com so that we can review the situation and work toward an appropriate resolution.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
The Services and their content, including our trademarks, logos, product names, designs, packaging, photographs, recipes, illustrations, graphics, written content, video, audio, and website design, are owned by or licensed to Thousand Years Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use the Services for personal, noncommercial purposes.
Unless permitted by law or authorized by us in writing, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, sell, license, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from our content or intellectual property.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9. Third Party Services and Links
Our Services may include functionality, payment services, tools, or links operated by third parties.
Your use of third party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies established by those providers.
We are not responsible for third party websites, products, services, or content that we do not own or control.
10. Relationship With Shopify
Thousand Years is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
However, purchases made through our store are made directly with Thousand Years Inc.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales between you and Thousand Years, including injury, damage, or loss resulting from products purchased from us.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you release Shopify and its affiliates from claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to purchases and transactions made directly with Thousand Years.
11. Privacy
Personal information collected through the Services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Because our store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify also processes certain information associated with your use of the Services.
We may also use service providers to process payments, fulfill orders, communicate with customers, prevent fraud, analyze performance, and operate our business.

12. Reviews and Feedback
We welcome feedback, reviews, photographs, suggestions, and other content relating to your experience with Thousand Years.
By voluntarily submitting content for publication or promotional use, you represent that you have the right to provide it and grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty free license to use, reproduce, display, publish, and adapt that content, subject to applicable law.
We will not knowingly alter feedback in a manner that materially misrepresents your views.
We may remove content that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, misleading, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate.
13. Errors and Corrections
Information on the Services may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to products, prices, promotions, availability, shipping, or other information.
We may correct genuine errors and update information when reasonably necessary.
If an error materially affects an order you have already placed, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and provide any options required by applicable law.

You may not use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or malicious activity.

Except for warranties expressly provided by us and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the website and digital Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that the website or other digital Services will always operate without interruption, delay, error, or security vulnerability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer protections, product obligations, warranties, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Thousand Years Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, or other circumstances protected by applicable law.
17. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Thousand Years Inc. and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from third party claims arising directly from your unlawful use of the Services, material breach of these Terms, violation of applicable law, or infringement of another person’s rights.
This provision does not require you to indemnify us for conduct for which indemnification cannot lawfully be required.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, Shipping and Delivery Policy, and any other terms expressly incorporated by reference, govern your use of the Services.
If a specific policy contains terms addressing a particular matter more specifically than these Terms, the more specific policy will apply to that matter, subject to applicable law.
20. Governing Law
These Terms and the Services will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
